       EXPERIENCE AND CLIENTS

Specializes in trying cases in State and Federal Courts. Just recently, his fellow Illinois attorneys voted Mr. Woerthwein an Illinois “Super Lawyer” for 2007 in his areas of civil and criminal law. The 2007 Super Lawyers were just published in Chicago Magazine.

Represents people in a broad range of lawsuits. Represents defendants charged with serious criminal violations. His last 2 white-collar criminal defense cases to go to trial ended in a jury verdict of not guilty in one and a hung jury in the other.

Has brought and won cases involving serious personal injury and medical malpractice, violation of civil rights, employment discrimination and infringements of constitutional rights.

Represents plaintiffs and defendants in a broad range of commercial cases. We represent many mid-sized companies and the individuals who own and operate them. (Recently obtained a $2,500,000.00 verdict in Cook County for a minority shareholder in a limited liability corporation whose interests had been trampled by the majority owners.)

He filed a class action suit against the City of Chicago. The suit alleges that the city has failed to properly install and maintain curb ramps that people with limited mobility use when crossing streets that the city is violating the federal Americans with Disabilities Act. The suit calls for Court to issue Preliminary and Permanent Injunctions forcing the city to install and repair ramps whenever it resurfaces or repairs streets.
