Represents plaintiffs and defendants in complex cases in State and Federal Court. Has successfully represented minority members. partners or shareholders against oppressive tactics at the appellate level. Handles "corporate divorce."
Served as Chief Counsel for the Speaker of the Illinois House of Representative and was involved in many significant pieces of legislation ranging from the Illinois Condominium Property Act to the Illinois Human Rights Act.
Represents clients in a broad range of international transactions, presently represents the Chicago branch of a major foreign bank and has represented a foreign government in dealings in the United States. Specializes in helping Asian clients who need representation in their transactions with U.S. entities.
Has been lost in Borneo, served as election observer during the civil war in El Salvador, had a rifle pointed at him in the Khyber Pass.
EDUCATION
Received his law degree (JD) in 1975 from the University of Chicago Law School, and undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois.
